Job Description:
PIMCO is seeking bright and ambitious undergraduate and graduate students (second-to-last year or earlier) to join our Summer Internship Program. This program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the world of active fixed income investing. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals on real-world projects, contribute to PIMCO’s success, and develop valuable skills that will launch your career.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with PIMCO professionals on assigned projects, taking initiative and driving results.
- Conduct research and analyze data to support investment decisions.
- Assist portfolio managers and analysts with their daily tasks.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to develop financial knowledge and professional skills.
- Network with PIMCO employees across various departments and disciplines.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled undergraduate or master’s degree student with an expected graduation date of December 2024 – June 2025 (for undergraduates) or be a current MBA, Ph.D., or experienced master’s candidate in your second-to-last year (for graduate programs).
- Strong academic record with a demonstrable interest in finance, economics, or a related field.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication, written and verbal, skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence.
Experience:
- Previous internship experience in finance or a related field (e.g., accounting, banking).
- Coursework in finance, economics, statistics, or mathematics.
- Experience with financial modeling or data analysis tools (e.g., Bloomberg, Python).
Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to learn new concepts quickly.
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude.
