The Jefferies Summer Analyst Internship Program offers a unique opportunity for graduating students (expecting graduation in December 2025 or later) to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic world of investment banking. You’ll collaborate with experienced professionals on real-world transactions and projects, contributing to Jefferies’ success while developing the critical skills for a rewarding career in finance.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the execution of live mergers and acquisitions (M&A) deals, capital markets transactions, and other financial advisory projects.
- Conduct in-depth company and industry research, financial analysis, and valuation modeling.
- Assist senior bankers in preparing pitch books, business proposals, reports, and client presentations.
- Support client interactions and communication as needed.
- Participate in training programs to develop technical and professional skills.
Qualifications
- Graduating student with a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field (expected graduation December 2024 or later).
- Strong academic record with a demonstrable interest in investment banking and financial markets.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, written and verbal, skills with a strong focus on detail and accuracy.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills with a strong quantitative aptitude.
Experience (Preferred)
- Previous internship experience in finance (investment banking, corporate finance, etc.) is a plus.
- Coursework in finance, accounting, valuation, and financial modeling.
- Proficiency in financial modeling software (e.g., Excel, Bloomberg).
